Lisa

Lisa is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor with 20 years of experience working with co-occurring disorders. She specializes in Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Addiction and Generalized Anxiety. In her practice she incorporates eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) when treating individuals. Lisa is trained in EMDR Parts 1&2. She has worked in many treatment settings such as inpatient residential, outpatient, medication assisted therapy (MAT), and private practice. While living in Vermont in 2010, Lisa was instrumental in developing MAT programs and soliciting the help of doctors to prescribe for alcohol and opiate use disorders. Lisa currently works and lives in CT, where she grew up, fulfilling her passion for guiding her clients through their journey. She graduated from Cambridge College in 2002 with a Master’s of Education in Counseling Psychology and she also has a background in art from attending Paier School of Art in 1980.
